Institute of Technology Carlow

The Institute of Technology Carlow was established in 1970 and is located in the South East region of Ireland. Carlow is just 80km from Dublin and is one of the largest inland towns in Ireland.

With almost 7,000 full and part-time students studying courses from certificate and degree though to Masters and PhD level, the Institute of Technology Carlow prides itself on being of a size that is conducive to a strong sense of community, whilst also being of a scale commensurate with excellence in higher education and research.

The learner experience is central to institute values and the dynamic campus environment is one that fosters enquiry, engagement, excellence, innovation, creativity and community.

The institute was recently awarded the accolade of ‘Institute of Technology of the Year 2014’ by the Sunday Times ‘Good University Guide’.
